Minor, 15, Arrested for School Bomb Threat

St. Croix police arrested a 15-year-old male minor after identifying him as the person who called in a bomb threat to the Elena Christian Junior High School Thursday. The minor is presently an eighth grade student at the school. He has been charged with bomb hoax and false reporting.

Police said the minor made the call from a cell phone while at school saying that a bomb would explode in 30 minutes.

Police said the minor violated previous orders set by the court and was then remanded to the Youth Rehabilitation Center pending further action from the Juvenile Court.

Detectives handling the case said it is still under active investigation and additional arrests may occur.
