Twenty-two year old Jose Fuentes was shot a few minutes after 8 p.m. Friday near the Contant Car Wash and then taken to Schneider Regional Medical Center where he later died, according to police.
Initial police reports indicate Fuentes was standing near the rear of the car wash, when a passing vehicle with a driver and at least one person inside fired multiple shots striking Fuentes several times.
This case is being actively investigated by the Major Crimes Unit, and police urge anyone who has any information regarding this fatal shooting to call detectives at 715-5545, 714-9206, or contact Crime Stoppers USVI at 1-800-222-TIPS.
