Manor School Holds Winter Fest and International Buffet

Manor School will hold its annual Winter Fest and International Buffet at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 10. Several special presentations will be made prior to the buffet, which will open at 1:30, including a dedication ceremony for the water tower project that Manor School students and the Department of Corrections just completed as a joint project in beautifying the community. There will be a water tower dedication speech, participation certificates distribution, and a reading of inmates’ poetry. After that, entertainment will be supplied by Manor students including Manor Pans, Quelbe Musicians Jr., Calypsonians, Speed Chess Players and performances ranging from skits to a choral musical performance, concluding with Jr. Ranch Cadet Drills.
An upper school art show will be exhibited with special handcrafted pieces made by Manor student artists for purchase. Manor parents can also visit with teachers and pick-up progress reports and will be able to see Smart Board demos. The public is invited to attend and partake in the international feast. All participants are asked to bring one dish that represents their family’s culture. Performances start at 10:30 and dinner is at 1:30. Admission is free.
