Brief: WAPA Begins Anna’s Hope Water Line Rehab

V.I. Water and Power Authority contractor Rotating Equipment has begun installing about 2,200 feet of 4-inch PVC pipe and 2,800 feet of 6-inch PVC water mains in St. Croix’s Estate Anna’s Hope.

Construction crews work from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays and will complete the project within 60 days, according to a WAPA release.

Estimated to cost $523,288, he Anna’s Hope Waterline Rehabilitation Project is funded by the Territorial Drinking Water Capital Improvement Grant Program.

Drivers are urged to proceed cautiously and follow traffic directions to ensure the safety of work crews, pedestrians and motorists in the area. Traffic pattern updates will be issued when lane closures become necessary, the news release said.
