Division of Banking and Insurance Employee Becomes Nationally Certified

Juliette Daniel
Lt. Gov. Gregory R. Francis recently commended Juliette Daniel, a financial services examiner of the Virgin Islands Division of Banking and Insurance (VIDBI), on having attained certification as a Professional in Insurance Regulation (PIR) through the National Association of Insurance Commissioner (NAIC) Professional Designation Program. Francis, who serves as the territory’s commissioner of insurance, further congratulates VIDBI for their continued efforts to strengthen the territory’s regulatory environment.
An employee of the division since 2006, Daniel originally attained the designation of associate professional in Insurance Regulation (APIR) in 2008. Her PIR designation certifies that she has completed specific educational requirements and mastered a broad range of regulatory competencies.
Since taking office, Lt. Gov. Gregory R. Francis has encouraged employees of the office of the lieutenant governor to pursue opportunities for training. “Employee training has helped this office to further protect the financial interests of the Virgin Islands consumer and enhanced the levels of customer service we offer to the community,” stated Francis.
