Women's Coalition Crisis Center Relocates After Fire

There was an electrical fire at the Women’s Coalition of St. Croix’s Crisis Center on East Street during the early morning hours of Friday, Aug. 5. What was not destroyed by fire has been damaged severely by
smoke, soot and water. The building will remain closed indefinitely.
Counseling services will be available beginning from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 9, at the Alice Pfaelzer Children’s Center in Christiansted (the bright yellow building with blue trim at the corners of
East and King Cross Streets). The telephone number remains the same: 773-9272, but there are only two lines in the building, so please be patient and redial if necessary. The Children’s Center’s telephone number is 773-9222.
Support group members should call their group leaders for information on future meetings. The Crisis Center’s volunteer victim advocates are still on call 24/7/365.
The Women’s Coalition of St. Croix’s Crisis Center thanks the community for its continued support and assistance over the past 30 years. It will provide more information and ways supporters can help during these challenging times as soon as possible.
