Crime Stoppers Needs Your Help

Crime Stoppers is asking your help to solve the following murders. If you know something, say something. Even the smallest bit of information may be just what law enforcement needs to identify and arrest the killers.

St. Croix: On Monday July 4, shortly after midnight, 41-year-old Deron Francis was found murdered on the road of the Randolph Lockhart Elementary School (the old St. Dunstan campus) in Estate Orange Grove. Help bring closure to the family and friends of Francis by telling us what you know about this murder.

St. John: Police are seeking additional information on the murder of Juan Ayala, who was killed outside his home in Estate Pastory on Jan. 5, 2009 at about 8 a.m. Police believe there may be two suspects, one of whom may be a black male with braided hair.

St. Thomas: On the morning of July 4, two senseless and vicious shooting murders occurred. The first was at about 4:30 a.m. in the area of Value Food in Estate Thomas, where Calvin Dowe was found with multiple gunshot wounds. The second was at about 5:45 a.m. in the Contant area where the body of Eladio Martinez was found in the parking lot of the area known as Soto Town.

Please continue to help make our community a safer place to live by submitting information on these or any other crimes at www.CrimeStoppersUSVI.org or by calling 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Your tips are completely anonymous, and the stateside operators speak several languages.

If your tip leads to an arrest or the recovery of stolen property, illegal drugs, or weapons, you will receive a cash reward of up to $2,500. The minimum reward for the arrest of a homicide suspect is $1,500. Only anonymous callers to Crime Stoppers are eligible for these cash rewards.

Crime Stoppers currently has 17 unpaid rewards totaling $11,757 from tips received as far back as August 2009. If you submitted a tip during this time period, please check to see if your tip qualifies for a reward, as unclaimed rewards expire six months after they are awarded.
