Benito Santos Sr. Dies at 97

Benito Santos Sr., also known as "Papi," of Estate Whim died on June 19, at his residence. He was 97 years old.
He is survived by his daughters, Anita Gonzales, Juanita Mathew and Norma Gonzales; sons: Benito Santos Jr., Miguel A. Santos Sr. , Enrique Santos Sr., Angel Santos Sr. and Roberto Santos Sr.; grandchildren: Benito III, Ana, Carmen, Victor, Lucy, Carlos, Belinda, Omar, Oscar, Juanita, Magda, Carmen, Miguel Jr., Angel Jr., Angela, Stephanie, Joshua, Roberts Jr., Sean, Erin, Tarya, Tricia, Diana, Luz, Lester, Raymond Jr., Natalie, Enrique Jr., Kierson, Kristen, Kristian, Kristin, Eraure, Lenique, Leniqua, Shadera, Latoya, Orlando, Reynaldo, Maria, Celestina, Petrie, Cece, Juanita, Carmen, Manuel, Ada, Milagro, Luz and Diana; and special granddaughter, Magda Santos.
He is also survived by 119 great-grandchildren; 45great-great grandchildren; special great-great grandson, Tyrell Marrero; daughters-in-law: Elba, Julia, Angela, Marilyn and Santos; sons-in-law: Raymond Mathew Sr. and Enrique Gonazales; goddaughter, Jacqueline Fawks; sister, Crencenia Santos; brother, Antonio Sanots; special nieces: Julia Perez and Juanita Maldonado; nieces: Francisca Rivera, Nereida Sanchez, Eneida Ayala, Lydia Santos, Felipe Viera, Carmen Williams, Maria Lopez and Mercedes Serrano; and nephews: Francisco Santos Jr., Foroilo, Martin, Jorge Santos, Hector Maldonado, Francisco Felix, Caruto Perez, Cecilio and Daniel Perez.
Other survivors include: great nieces too numerous to mention; great nephews too numerous to mention; special friends: Ms. Mathurin, Ms. Charles, Ms. Baptist, La Paz Hospice, Ilma, Migueline Ayala, and Sister of the Church; as well as cousins and other relatives too numerous to mention.
The viewing will be held at 9 a.m. and the funeral service at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 24, at St. Joseph’s Church. Interment will follow at Kingshill.
