Innovative Launches Leadership Development Internship Program

Innovative, the leading telecommunications provider in the U.S. Virgin Islands, announces the 4th annual Leadership Developmental Internship Program.
Zenzile M. Hodge, vice president of Human Resources, said, “The Innovative Leadership Development Internship Program (LDI) is designed for undergraduate and graduate level students who are within their final year(s) of school. This eight week summer internship program offers high caliber students an excellent opportunity to perform challenging work linked both to the student’s educational discipline and the company’s business goals.”
LDI participants will have a unique opportunity to jump-start their careers, and, upon successful completion of the program, many will have an opportunity to segue into permanent employment with Innovative Companies. Preference will be given to current Innovative scholarship recipients.
Candidates must be pursuing graduate degrees (MBA, MS, MA) or undergraduate degrees emphasizing business, finance, human resources, information technology, engineering or other technical disciplines. In addition, they must have experience holding a minimum of one officer role in extra-curricular organizations and/or relevant work history that reflects experience in leading peers, delegating tasks and resolving conflicts. Students must also have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
Applications are available at the security desks at the Innovative Business Offices at Estate Diamond on St Croix and Tutu Park on St. Thomas. Applicants on St. John may pick up applications at the Business Office at the Starfish Marketplace. The deadline for submitting an application is Wednesday, June 15.
“The program pairs each student with a manager who is committed to providing a rich developmental experience designed to grow individual leadership skills. Students also have the opportunity to share their experience with their peers via site visits, training/development courses and team building,”said Hodge.
