Former Lt. Gov. Derek Hodge died Tuesday morning; he was 69. Hodge was also a well-known V.I. attorney and served as president of the 16th V.I. Legislature.
Lifelong friend Delegate Donna Christensen expressed her sympathy Tuesday.
"Derek and I go back a long way. We grew up together and as adults and worked on each other’s political campaigns, helping to get each other elected, Christensen said in a release.
"My condolences go out to his wife, Monique; his children, Marisol and Jonathan; and the rest of his circle of family and friends," Christensen added.
Hodge’s funeral arrangements will be coordinated by Davis Funeral Home on St. Thomas.
