Marion M. Hendrick Smith Dies

Marion M. Hendrick Smith
Marion M. Hendrick Smith of Mars Hill, Frederiksted, died on April 10.
She is survived by her daughters: Alfreda S. Ovesen, Beverly E. Smith-Staliard, Louella E. Smith-Rabsatt and Marjorie E. Smith; son, Harold E. Smith; stepchildren: Elisa M. and Herbert E. Smith, and Paulette E. Hodge; sister-in-law, Alice Smith Nielsen; sons-in-law: Alphonse J. Stalliard and Sr. Sidney Rabsatt; grandchildern: Kelvin E. Woodson, Mike Smith, Karole E. Ovesen-McGregor, Kraigg, Hans and Gerald Ovesen, Michelle Riley, Tamara, Harolyn, Harold Jr. and Dr. Norah M. Smith, Kimm A. Richards-Blackman, Shawmna K. Richards-Llanos, Alphonse Stalliard II, Simona Sabrina and Sidney Rabsatt II, and Erin O’Reilly.
She is also survived by great-grandchildren: Maya Smith, Keryn and Marquis McGregor, Svend II, Kristyn, Omary, Jahleel, Arual, Brandon, Deshawn, Hanaya, Deshinique, Zion I, Zion II and Kara Ovesen, Roger Jr., Megan and Rochelle Riley, Harold Smith III, Sef and Kai Blackman, and Chasen Richards; granddaughters-in law: K. Glenda Cameron Esq., Ann Ovesen, Pamela Emmanuel and Gokce Rabsatt; and grandsons-in-law: Malcolm D. McGregor, Roger Riley Sr., Barry Blackman and Rafael Llanos Jr.
Other survivors include special cousins: Miriam Phillips, Edgar Iles and David Benjamin; special family and friends: the family of the late Ethanie Smith Francis, Alice Nielsen and family, the family of the late Eurina Morris, the family of the late O’neal Sackey, the Hunt family, Josephine Hector, Idona Jackson, Gregory Miller Esq, Raphael Brathwaite, Paula Osorio, Doreen Depusoir, Alma Plaskett Chrisensen, Marion Lynch, Ana Maria Rosa, Palmyra Benjamin and Dahlia Payne; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
A viewing will be held at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 27, at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Frederiksted. Interment will follow at St. Paul’s Church Yard.
