Edgardo Sanes blasted three home runs and Mario Christian had two as they powered the Hummers to a 14-2 lopsided victory over Set it Off in Thursday’s early game. The winning pitcher was the always tough Jerry Vialet while Julio Carmona took the loss. Top batters for the Hummers were Sanes (3 for 3 with three home runs and three RBIs) and Christian (3 for 3 with two home runs and three RBIs). Cartel 20, Softball Inc. 14
Despite a record that places them near the bottom of the league standings, if all the Cartel players show up to play, they can compete with just about anyone in the league. Softball Inc. found out just how true that was after they were outslugged 20-14 by a re-energized Cartel squad in game two on Thursday.
