Jonathan Emmanuel James Dies at 52

Jonathan Emmanuel James, also known as "Snoppy," of Lorraine Village died on Feb. 9, at Gov. Juan F. Luis Hospital. He was 52 years old.
He is survived by his wife, Dolly L. James; daughter, Jenelia James; sons: Jonathan E. James Jr. and Jovan E. James; stepdaughters: Neela Sooknanan, Valerene and Valanica Gumbs; stepson, Valentine Gumbs Jr.; grandchildren: Niela, Elijah, Nigel, Eleesha, K’shyra, Nathaniel Lockhart James, Vanelia James, Krishna Jr., K’onteh and Krintanie Ramkissoon; sister, Gracia James Brown; and brothers: Ronald, Joseph and Samuel James.
He is also survived by niece, Tiffany Brown; nephews: Shane Broon and Saiesh James; special friends: Ralph Hazlewood, John Williams, Henry James, Antoinette, Eliza and Derick Rampersad, Shema, Madina, Ian Groge, Chem and Tasha Williams, Ram’s Auto, Singh’s Fast Food, Charles Peters, Mark, Darnelle, Marilyn Johnson, Hyacinth, Cycil Benjamin, Godfrey, Mary St. Anes and Ruby; and other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing at 10 a.m. and a funeral service at 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 18, at the Solid Rock Church of God Estate, St. John’s. Interment will follow at the Kingshill Cemetery.
