AT&T recently named Ramon “Ray” Flores to be the regional vice president of AT&T Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Flores most recently served as regional director of Legislative and External Affairs for AT&T Florida.

"His community involvement as well as his role in bringing innovative, new technology to our customers will be an asset as we move ahead in Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands."
As regional vice president, Flores will work closely with community leaders, elected officials, stakeholders and others at AT&T to bring the best technology, including the fastest Mobile Broadband network, to consumers.
“Ray’s leadership on issues critical to building communities and making them a better place to live and raise our families was instrumental in convening a diverse group of academic and community leaders to address the Boom vs. Bust Housing crisis in South Florida,” said Dario Moreno, former executive director of the Metropolitan Center and professor of political science at FIU. “This attention to community and Ray’s leadership skills and experience make his appointment as regional vice president of Puerto Rico & U.S. Virgin Islands a win-win for everyone.”
Luis De Rosa, president of the South Florida Puerto Rican Chamber of Commerce and vice president of the National Coalition of Puerto Rican Chambers of Commerce said, “Having known Mr. Flores for many years and witnessed his ability to bring diverse groups together to address community needs, I am confident that under his leadership the resources of AT&T will be focused on making Puerto Rico and the U.S.-VI a better place to live and raise our families.”
In addition to his company responsibilities, Flores has also been very involved in community and charitable activities. In South Florida, he holds multiple leadership positions in regional organizations, including serving as chairman of The Beacon Council’s International Advisory Committee, chair of the Metropolitan Center FIU, chair of the Coconut Grove Arts Festival, chair of the Advocacy State of Florida for the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce, vice-chairman of the International Trade Board for the City of Miami, board member of The Beacon Council Miami Dade County, board member of the Miami Dade County International Trade Mission Center, co-chair of One Nation (a service organization that assists new citizens with English), director of the Hispanic Council, Hispanic Heritage, and director of: the Latin Chamber (CAMACOL), Greater Miami, Key Biscayne, Coral Gables, Chamber South, Florida City, Key West and Homestead Chambers of Commerce.
Flores graduated from Biscayne College, now St. Thomas University in Miami. Flores is married to Mirtha D. Flores and has two adult children, Anna Maria Flores Menendez and Juan Carlos Flores. He also has two granddaughters, Gabriella and Andrea Menendez Flores.
