BIR Reminds Taxpayers of Gross Receipts Amnesty Program

The Virgin Islands Bureau of Internal Revenue reminds taxpayers of the 90-day gross receipts tax amnesty. Act 7233, which was signed into law by Gov. John P. de Jongh, Jr. on Oct. 26, 2010, implemented the amnesty, which will expire on Jan. 25, 2011. BIR Director Claudette Watson-Anderson urges taxpayers to file and pay delinquent gross receipts taxes before the deadline.
