Frederiksted Health Care Center Celebrates National Health Week

Frederiksted Health Care Inc. joins the nation in celebrating National Health Center Week, Aug. 8-14. "Celebrating America’s Health Centers: Turning the Vision into Reality" is the theme for 2010, which highlights the 45-year record of health centers in providing affordable, high quality, cost-effective health care to all people, regardless of ability to pay.

Each year Health Center Week also sets aside several days to focus on special populations who are often left outside of the mainstream health care system. This year Frederiksted Health Care will hold “Health Care for the Homeless Day” on Wednesday, Aug. 11, and “Farmworker Health Day” on Thursday, Aug. 12.
“Providing superior health care to the uninsured and insured is the primary focus of Frederiksted Health Care,” said Masserae Webster, CEO of the center. “Health care is one of the most important components in your life. FHC is committed to raising the awareness of the needs that exist in our communities and the high costs of failure to provide primary care and preventive health.”
FHC is inviting the community to participate in the services that will be offered during the week.
