Detectives from the Insular Investigation Bureau detectives arrested Regina Browne at about 5:30 a.m. Wednesday and charged the 24-year-old woman with forgery, grand larceny and embezzlement.
The investigation began when a First Bank representative reported unauthorized charges from the Seaborne Airlines’ checking account to Browne’s First Bank account. Investigation revealed that Brown used the agency’s credit card machine to credit her account in the amount of $17,914, police say.
Collaborating with the Virgin Islands Police Department were First Bank and Seaborne Airlines.
Bail for Browne was set at $75,000 and she was remanded to custody pending further court action.
