Vancito George Dies at 82

Vancito George, better known as “Cito” or “Wannie,” died on July 2 at his residence. He was 82 years old.

He is survived by his wife, Wilma Clarke George; sons: Charles George, Everette George and Kemo Smith; daughters: Zelda George, Arona George Dewindt, Florentine George and Glencina George-Richards; stepsons: Patrick Clarke and Charles Clarke; stepdaughter, Zelda Clarke; sister, Sentilia Turnbull; 27 grandchildren; sons-in-law: Raymond Dewindt and Tyrone Richards; and many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a first viewing from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 13, at Davis Funeral Home Chapel. A second viewing will take place at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 14, at Wesley Methodist Church. Interment will be at Eastern Cemetery.
All arrangements are by Davis Funeral Home, 774-1464.
