St. Thomas Police Investigate Body Left at Hospital

An 18-year-old male was shot and killed before 4 a.m. Saturday, and police on St. Thomas are investigating to try to learn the circumstances.

The body of the victim, whose name is being withheld oending notification of next of kin, was left by an unknown private vehicle at the Roy L. Schneider Hospital. Police said the victim was already dead from multiple gunshot wounds when he was dropped there.

The victim has been identified by police.

It was the 19th homicide reported on St. Thomas since the beginning of the year, the 28th in the territory. But it was the first in the territory in more than a month, since May 20, and the first on St. Thomas since May 9, according to police records.
