Officers Investigate Non-Fatal Shooting

A 25-year-old St. Croix man was shot in the right foot Friday morning while standing in the parking lot of the Rebound Night Club in Christiansted.

Virgin Islands Police officers on St. Croix are investigating the non-fatal shooting, which tyey say took place at about 4:45 a.m.

According to the police, officers were dispatched to a report of shots being fired and were advised that a shooting victim was at the Juan F. Luis Hospital.

Police interviewed the victim, who told police he did not see who fired the shot and he was not involved in any altercation. He was transported to the hospital in a private vehicle.

The case will be followed up by Investigation Bureau detectives.
