Coast Guard Auxiliary Offering GPS Course for Mariners

The Coast Guard Auxiliary is offering a GPS course that is intended for mariners who either have or plan to purchase a GPS for their vessel. The course will include:

1. The structure and rationale behind the GPS receiver
2. Detailed GPS capabilities with respect to navigation
3. Integrating the GPS information with local charts of the area
4. Interfacing the GPS with chart plotters and computers
This course will be taught in four two-hour evening sessions at Country Day School.
