Second Man Dies Following Construction Site Accident

A second man has died of injuries sustained during a June 17 vehicular accident at a construction site, the V.I. Police Department reported.
The flag man, identified as 29-year-old Ashorne Daniel, died sometime Tuesday morning in a Florida hospital.
Daniel was working as a flag man at a construction site on Brookman Road in the area of Estate Charlotte Amalie when he was struck by a tan Camry driven by a 53-year-old man.
The Camry also struck a white pickup truck, causing a passenger in the back of the pickup truck to be ejected. That passenger, a 50-year-old man, sustained head injuries and died Saturday at Roy L. Schneider Medical Center. His name has not been released.
Traffic Enforcement officers are wrapping up the investigation and anticipate charges will be filed in this matter.
Police continue to caution motorists to obey all road signs and the directions of construction flag persons to avoid accidents and injury to construction workers and other motorists.
