Police on St. Thomas are investigating the armed robbery of four persons inside the In & Out Grocery in Estate Smith Bay. The robberies took place at about 10:15 p.m. Sunday.
According to the police report, two males were sitting outside the grocery store when two masked and armed men approached them and escorted them into the store. Once inside the suspects told the two victims to lie down on the floor and then robbed the victims of their cash jewelry and cell phones.
The suspects also robbed the store owner of cash, his personal keys and jewelry. Another customer attempted to enter the store during the robbery and was escorted into the store by two additional suspects who were apparently guarding the outside of the store.
