Nathaniel Franklin Dead at 82

Nathaniel Franklin of Hannah’s Rest died on Feb. 28. He was 82 years old.

He survived by his daughters: Debra Franklin Maragh and Natalie Franklin; stepson, Miles Macedon; grandchildren: Jamaal Maragh and Jahlisa Maragh; great-grandchildren: D’Quisha Maragh and Nichai Bramble; son-in-law, Solomon Roy Maragh; brother, Alphonso Franklin; and sister-in-law, Sylvia Franklin. He is also survived by many nieces to include: Chrisita Milligan, Susan Milligan Samuel, Karen Ranso and Linda Jackson; many great nieces to include: Alexis Brodhurst, Cherisse James-Felix, and Alyssa and Bria Mitcham; many nephews to include: Blaise Franklin, John Franklin, Rev. Dr. George Franklin, Ted Johnson and Joe Jackson; cousins and other relatives, the Petersen families; special friends: Calvin and Gladys Perkins, Thomas Johnson, Laura Pena, Esther Powell, Antonio Petersen, Armstrong, Milligan, Bates and the McFarlene family, the Crusaders Club, Retired Nurses, American Legion, the Gaskin family and Rainbow Home; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing held at 10 a.m. and a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, March 15, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Kingshill Cemetery, Veterans Section.
All arrangements are entrusted to James Memorial Funeral Home Inc.
