Lolita Maria Benjamin Ford Dead at 94

Lolita Maria Benjamin FordLolita Maria Benjamin Ford, also known as "Fordie," of Mon Bijou died on Feb. 2. She was 94 years old.

She is survived by her brother, Isidro Benjamin; nieces: Adele Derricks, Evelyn Derricks, Grace Newton, Sonia Haynes, Marion Benjamin, Juanita McGill, Vanessa Dorsey and Desiree Newton; nephews: Arthur Richardson, Ulric Benjamin, Anthony Newton, Alan Newton and Raymond Newton; cousins: Gloria Sealey, Sharon Browne Peterson, Donna Browne Jones, Ruth Lange, Thelma Nielsen, Glenn Butcher Brown, Ivan Butcher, Winifred Aikens, Enrico Butcher, Helen Martinez, Kathleen Watkins, Catherine Martin, Alfred Dottin, Leroy Dottin and Claudius Dottin; and godchildren: Alfred Dottin and Elisa McKay. She is also survived by friends: Daphne Christian (her Comado), Artie Jones and Mr. Petersen; neighbors: Francisco Encarnacion and family, Marks and family, Jacobs-Cobrall, Liston Georges and family, Randall Henderickson, Maggie MacIntosh and family, and the Bradys; as well as many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing held at 10 a.m. and a funeral service at 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 12, at the Lord God of Sabaoth Lutheran Church. Interment will follow at Kingshill Cemetery.
All arrangements are entrusted to James Memorial Funeral Home Inc.
