Education Announces Availability of Summer Food Service Program

The Department of Education State Office of Special Nutrition Programs has announced the availability of the FY 2010 Summer Food Service Program (SFSP). School age children through the age of 18 may receive free meals through SFSP. A person 19 years of age and over who has mental or physical disability (as determined by a State or Local Educational Agency) and who participates during the school year in a public or private non-profit school program (established for the mentally or physically disabled) is also eligible to receive meals.

Any public or non-profit organization interested in obtaining a Sponsor Application Package or more information may contact the State Office of Special Nutrition Programs at 774-9373 on St. Thomas or 773-1095, ext. 7082 on St. Croix.
