Brief: VIPD Identify Kerwin Terrace Murder Victim

The victim of Saturday’s fatal shooting in Kerwin Terrace has been identified by the V.I. Police Department.

St. Thomas District Police Chief Rodney F. Querrard Sr. said 30-year-old Elliot Hodge Jr. was shot and killed Saturday at about 7:37 p.m. near the pump house vicinity Building 7, Kerwin Terrace Housing Community.

Police patrolling the area heard shots fired and responded, finding Hodge unresponsive. He appeared to have been shot at least once. Emergency Medical Technicians responded, and found no vital signs on the victim.

Querrard said the victim may have been with a group of people when he was shot. He is appealing to any witnesses or anyone with any information to call the anonymous Crime Stoppers tips line at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), 911, or Sergeant Lionel Bess of the Major Crimes Bureau at 340-642-8449.
