Roland Emerson Johnson Dead at 66

Roland Emerson Johnson died on Dec. 14. He was 66 years old.

He is survived by his spouse, Eugenia Johnson; daughters: Renee and Renise Johnson, Rhea Johnson-Georges, Astrid Rhonda Johnson and Rhisa Johnson-Morris; sons: Rodell, Troy, Rodney and Randall Johnson; grandchildren: Shamal Ballantine, DuQuan Auguste, Denali Georges, Jaheem, Jahlise and Jahzre Francis, Rakeem Gore, Rashawn Johnson, Aleiya Johnson, Jemia, Rodell Jr. and Leah Johnson, and Reniquaand Nacoya Johnson; and stepchildren: Dennis Urgent, Lisa Henry, Jamal Urgent and James Pack. He is also survived by his sister, Unita Johnson Georges; brothers: Elroy Harrison, Warren and Rafael Johnson; daughter-in-law, Gina Johnson; son-in-law: Warren Georges and Kevin Morris; nieces: Phyllis Johnson, Lucy Jackson Liddie, Monifa Bastian, Shermaine Harrison, Elise Lancaster, Tiffany Gaskill, Rafaela, Faye, Macuba Lucy and Merlene Johnson; and nephews: Leo Jackson, Gerald Jackson, Kacy, Kevin, Cleon, Jermaine and Ameen Harrison, Rafael Jr., Raul, Ralph, Karl, Walter and Brian Johnson. Other survivors include: sisters-in-law: Elisa Harrison, Nora Elliott, Simon Gaston, Alberta Elliott, Elmona Elliott and Rose Headlam; brothers-in-law: Paul Elliott, Joseph Digier, Hollis Digier, Nicholas Elliott and Anthony Digier; aunt, Christina Jackson; uncle, Theodore Jackson; special friends: Bernard Brunn, Orsil Samuel, Larry Cuencas, Henry Knight Sr., Rawle Watson, Theodore Hansen, Linda Bough, Gilbert Flemming, Lawrence James, Richard Branch, Donald Warner, Delroy Thomas, Arthur Stanley, Terrance Martin, Norman Rogers, Norman Williams and Vernon James; cousins and other relatives: Marjorie Samuel, Reginald and Ann Marie Herbert-Fisher, Janet George, Laurelleen Knight and family, Milton Jackson, Claudette Edney, Darwin Jackson, Inez Harrison-Clarke, Helen Jackson; and other friends and family too numerous to mention.
A viewing will take place at 9 a.m. and a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 29, at St. John’s Anglican Church. Interment will follow at Kingshill Cemetery.
