The Proposed Mental Health Block Grant Application for the Department of Health’s Division of Mental Health, Alcoholism and Drug Dependency Services is available for review and public comment territory-wide, according to a press release from Health Commissioner-Designee Julia Sheen.
The application details the Mental Health Division’s plan for improving services to the mentally ill population in the Virgin Islands. The grant will allow the department to provide evaluation and treatment intervention services to adults with serious mental illness and children with severe emotional disturbance.
