Sarah Justina Joseph Dies at 90

Sarah Justina Joseph, also known as “Miss Doris,” of Carib VillasSarah Justina Joseph III died on Aug. 12, at Gov. Juan F. Luis Hospital. She was 90 years old.
She is survived by her daughters: Gemess LaVann and Jane Meade; sons: Eustace Glanville and Conrad Whyte Sr.; grandchildren: Althea Benjamin, Lyndon Simon, Omari and Monique Meade, Wanda Simpson, Dante Glanville, Condacy Walwyn, Carol Whyte- Rosa, Constance Whyte-Kriz, Conrad Whyte Jr., Charmaine A., Colette, Chenelle and Conrad Rowan Whyte; and 32 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by brother, James Haywood; daughter-in-law, Dorothy Whyte; son-in-law, Alphonso Meade; special cousin, Salomie Challenger; special friends: Vadis Grant, Henrietta Williams, Ovril Hector, Primrose Joseph, Sue and Noel Coates; and many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
A viewing will be held at 10 a.m. and a funeral service at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, Sept. 1, at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church. Interment will follow at Kingshill Cemetery.
