CELL to Offer International Computer Driving License Program
A nationally recognized computer certification program will once again be offered by the University of the Virgin Islands’ Community Engagement and Lifelong Learning (CELL) Center. The International Computer Driving License (ICDL) Program is a globally recognized training and certification program that allows individuals to become proficient in the use of information technology. It is recognized in more than 100 countries as the standard for certification of basic computer skills.
The seven-week program starts Sept. 14. Classes will be held 6-9 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays at the UVI-CELL Center on St. Thomas. CDL focuses on developing basic computer skills in seven areas: Basic Concepts of Information Technology, File Management, Word Processing, Spreadsheets, Database, Presentations, Communication and Information.
