Alert: WAPA to Work on Waterfront Waterline Saturday

June 26, 2009 – V. I. Water and Power Authority water technicians will be replacing a gate valve on the 24-inch potable waterline on the Waterfront apron in the vicinity of Pizza Hut from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday. Water customers at higher elevations in the eastern part of Charlotte Amalie may experience pressure variations or complete loss of pressure during the work period, according to a company statement. Return to full water service is expected by 8 p.m. Saturday.
Customers are urged to store sufficient water to meet their needs prior to the service interruption. Motorists are urged to obey all traffic directions.
