Education Offers ESL Business Writing Workshop

June 16, 2009 – The Virgin Islands Department of Education, in keeping with its commitment to provide professional development opportunities for their employees throughout the territory, advises all public school teaching professionals and support staff of a department sponsored workshop on Thursday, July 30. The workshop, titled Business Writing When English Is a Second Language, will be conducted by the UVI Community Engagement and Lifelong Learning (UVICELL).
If interested, register for the workshop at the Human Resources office in the respective district. The sign-up period begins on Thursday, June 18 and ends on Thursday, July 2, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. at the HR Offices, 1834 Kongens Gade for the St. Thomas-St. John District; and the Vitraco Mall located at Orange Grove for the St. Croix District.
Due to the limited number of available slots, interested individuals are asked to act quickly as the selections will be made on a first-come, first-serve basis. No phone sign-ups will be allowed.
