June 6, 2009 – George Augustus Edney of Estate Grove Place died on May 28, at his residence. He was 83years old.
He is survived by his stepdaughters: Debra Herbert, Sonia McIntosh and Norma McIntosh-Carrel; stepsons: Leroy Henley Sr., Wayne, Wendell, Gleston Sr. and Kenneth McIntosh, and Stanley Edwards; 30 step grandchildren; sisters: Chrystalia Edney-Parris and Magdalene Edney; brothers: Stanley and Arthur Edney; sister-in-law, Joycelyn Edney; and brother-in-law, John Parris Sr. He is also survived by goddaughters: Annette Parris-Delgado, Denise Mason and Maria Hendricks; caregivers: Mary Thompson and Jaqueline Mackclocklan; special friends: Paul Horsford, Camelo Pena, James Hendricks and Wilmont Horsford; and many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing held at 10 a.m. and a funeral service at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, June 9, at Kingshill Lutheran Church. Interment will follow at Kingshill Cemetery.
