St. John Villas Featured on House Hunters International

June 5, 2009 – Three Coral Bay, St. John vacation villas, St. John Realtor Diana Beam and a house-hunting Asheville, NC, couple, Ted and Sharon Prosser, are the stars on an upcoming episode of Home and Garden Network's "House Hunters International."
According to a press release from the Prossers, the episode is slated to air at 9:30 p.m. June 14., although it was not listed on the HGTV schedule for that slot.
While the show suggests that the Prossers were house hunting, Sharon Prosser said they actually bought the house in August 2008, four months before the December 2008 shoot.
"They make you think it's all happening then," Sharon Prosser said.
However, she said she and her husband had looked at the two other villas used in the episode.
She called the experience interesting, but said she wasn't sure her husband "knew what they were getting into."
In addition to Into the Mystic vacation villa, which the Prossers bought, Aria and Sea Rock are included in the show.
"Any exposure is fine exposure," Stephen Hull, who with his wife Maria owns Aria, said.
Hull is pleased that their house was included and said he expects "House Hunters International" to show the Virgin Islands in a positive light.
The Hulls are based in Evergreen, Colo., but spend part of the year at Aria.
St. John residents Kat Sowa and Dave Thompson own Sea Rock.
"We feel like we built a practical, beautiful and easy to maintain home," Sowa said.
Beam is also excited about the show.
"It's very good exposure for me and my company," Beam said.
She owns Re/Max Island Paradise Realty.
Beam was contacted by the producers of "House Hunters International" by way of the national Re/Max organization.
During the filming, the crew followed the Prossers around the Coral Bay area as they looked at the villas. Prosser said the film crews also went around the island filming the island's views, beaches and shopping at places like Maho Bay and Cocoloba shopping center in Coral Bay.
"It's great for the Virgin Islands. It's going to be very helpful," Sharon Prosser said.
