Abdicating Responsibility

Dear Source:

So many problems, so many answers, little progress on many issues. Seems like everyone wants something do be done by someone else. Police are supposed to protect us, courts are supposed to make criminals pay for their crimes, governments are supposed to solve problems.
After reading a post about a man that wants to ban guns, I am struck by the way our rights and responcibiys are getting eroded, the good idea people that mean well yet seem to always want someone to sacrifice something. I was thinking that in this utopia of his creation perhaps we could also redistribute the money, the power and the property. His post in a subliminal way says don't worry someone else will stand up to protect you, someone else will be responsible with the power, someone else will be concerned with your property.
Funny thing is most governments are only concerned with their property and there power. Most police are concerned with protecting them selves. Most people don't want you to give them rights; they want you to not take what they have earned.
Perhaps its time we just said that I want the responcibity of protecting my self, I want to own the means to do it and I want you to stay out of my house my business and my life.
Mr. Fagan we can allow others do take responsibility even if you are willing to abdicate yours, it will just be one more thing that you do that burdens the state, to be effective your no guns zone will need enforcement I propose that we make all active gun owners police auxiliary and give them license to enforce your no gun zone proposal. Other wise your good idea is just so much talk.
We can own guns oh yes we can and with the peoples help we can take responcibity for our selves and not put it on others
