E.A.S.T. Will Hold Special Meeting

The Environmental Association of St. Thomas-St. John will hold a special meeting at 10 a.m., on Saturday, May 16, at Emerald Beach Hotel in the Hibiscus Conference Room. The guest speaker will be Bevan Smith of the Virgin Islands Energy Office, who will discuss how the funds from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 can increase the use of renewable energy technology in the V.I.
Other possible topics include what is planned for the Weatherization Assistance Program, the State Energy Program and the Energy Efficiency Conservation Block Grant.
