Free Ferry for Residents to Attend Tortola Ceremony

April 17, 2009 – The Government of the Virgin Islands has organized free ferry service for the residents of St. Thomas who wish to attend an official ceremony on Sunday, April 19, which will celebrate the re-naming of the Little A Race Track in Sea Cow's to the Ellis Thomas Downs.
Arrangements have been made for Road Town Fast Ferry to leave Red Hook at 1:30 p.m. for Road Town, Tortola, with the return trip leaving Road Town at 6 p.m., for the return to Red Hook.
Horse racing enthusiasts and well wishers are invited to make the trip on Sunday to stand united as Virgin Islanders honour and pay tribute to Ellis Thomas, who has contributed so much to the development of the sport in the U.S.V.I.
