March 30, 2009 – Matilde Perkins of Frenchman's Bay died on March 23, at Roy L. Schneider Hospital. She was 92 years old.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Viggo O. Perkins on Nov. 3, 1983. She is survived by her children: Viggo Perkins II, Alexius Perkins and Helena Perkins van Beverhoudt; stepchildren: Shirley Germaine Sawyer and Carlos Roberto Perkins; and was also preceded in death by her stepdaughter, Eleanor Arnold. She is also survived by three grandchildren: Anthony and Chloe Perkins, and Selene van Beverhoudt Bowlby; great-grandchild, Jaidyn Alma Bowlby; sisters: Marcelina García, Rosa Feliciano, Mary Hoffman, Erasma García and Aracely Nicholson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Frederick Evangelical Church would be appreciated.
Services will be held at 10 a.m., on Friday, April 3, at Frederick Evangelical Lutheran Church. Burial will follow in Western Cemetery No. 1.
