Alert: Innovative Restores 14 of 20 Channels Lost in Accident

March 27, 2009 — Fourteen of the 20 TV channels disrupted on St. Croix by an accident are back on the air, Innovative Cable Television announced Friday, and the rest should be back very soon.
The channels went off the air when an outside third party work crew near Innovative Cable TV facilities Thursday morning accidentally cut several underground conduits.
“Technicians are continuing their work to restore service to all channels and it is expected they will conclude their work by Friday evening,” Innovative Cable TV President Jennifer Matarangas-King said. She said the company will keep customers abreast of any developments.
The affected channels currently include: 3ABN, Discovery Health, Fox News, the Tennis Channel, Lifetime Movie Network and Lifetime Real Women.
“We again apologize to our subscribers for any inconvenience this disruption in service may cause. Our technicians are working as diligently as possible to bring back all channels on the air,” Matarangas-King said.
