FYI: Former Gov. Turnbull Pays Tribute to Former Sen. Elmo D. Roebuck

March 25, 2009 – Former Governor Charles W. Turnbull Wednesday issued the following statement on the passing of Senator Elmo D. Roebuck:
“I join all Virgin Islanders in mourning the passing of former Senate President Elmo Delano Roebuck Sr. The Virgin Islands has lost one of its most useful, gifted and brilliant public servants. Senator Roebuck served these islands that he loved with integrity, honesty and vision in various capacities over a period of half a century. His passing during Virgin Islands History Month reminds us of the many men and women like him who labored over the centuries to make the Virgin Islands a better place.
My sincere condolences go to his family, loved ones, friends and colleagues. May his soul rest in peace.”
