Pistarckle Theatre's 'Jesus Christ Superstar' Begins March 18

March 17, 2009 – Pistarckle Theater presents "Jesus Christ Superstar," the Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber groundbreaking musical directed by Marc Fellner.
Performances are at 8 p.m., on Wednesday, March 18; 8 p.m., on Thursday, March 19, which is "pay as you can night."
Friday, March 20, is opening night and a champagne reception will be held at 7 p.m. before the 8 p.m. curtain. The other 8 p.m. performances will now be held on Saturday, March 21, and Friday and Saturday, April 3 and 4. There will also be matinees at 2 p.m., on March 21 and April 4 and 5.
Because of the great response of audiences to the show, Pistarckle Theater has added a performance at 8 p.m., on Thursday, April 2.
This rock-driven opera tells the story of the final seven days in the life of Jesus of Nazareth. The power of orchestration, dance and dramatic portrayals in song of apostles, priests, kings, Judas and Jesus himself will mesmerize and lift you as the story unfolds during the period in which Jesus' martyrdom is complete.
The cast includes Jeff Neevel, Marc Fellner, Timothy Abraham, Christina Harper, S. Cory Willis, Kate Rake, Danny Challenger, Yasmin Jamil, Bill Thompson and Theodore Sealey Jr.
