Crime Stoppers is asking the community to help the VIPD solve the following crimes, and would like to remind you that any information, no matter how insignificant, may be just what the police need to solve these cases:
St. Croix: Police on St. Croix are looking for the person who was driving a black Dodge Neon with tinted windows in the Estate Diamond area on Sunday, March 8, at about 7:25 p.m. and shot a pedestrian during an attempted robbery. The victim was shot in his left hand and the bullet also struck the side of his abdomen.
St. John: Police on St. John are seeking information on any undocumented individuals living or working on the island. Additionally, police are seeking information on anyone who may be unlawfully employing undocumented workers whether on a part-time or full-time basis.
St. Thomas: Police on St. Thomas are looking for the person or persons who fired upon two males who were walking in the Estate Contant area on Tuesday, March 10. One victim was wounded on his lower left leg and the other was wounded on the bottom of his right foot.
Crime Stoppers is pleased to report we received 10 new tips this week, bringing our total to 58. Law Enforcement Police Coordinator, Lt. Thomas Hannah, said: "To those who have provided tips to Crime Stoppers, please call again. Your tips have helped the Virgin Islands Police Department get closer to solving several robbery cases that have occurred in recent weeks. To seal some of these cases, we need some more information from you. We are seeking information on vehicles, including license plate numbers. Also, a name or nickname of any person who may have been involved in these crimes. To date with your 58 tips, you have helped VIPD and Law Enforcement arrest several individuals who were involved in assault and robbery cases. On behalf of the Law Enforcement community in the territory, we extend our sincere appreciation and thanks for your continued support in our crime fighting efforts."
