V.I. RC&D Seeks Students for Natural Resources Summer Camp

March 4, 2009 – The V.I. Resource Conservation & Development Council Inc. (VI RC&D) is seeking eight or nine Virgin Islands high school students between the ages of 15-18 to attend the 2009 Natural Resources Conservation Workshop that will be held June 7-11, at the Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in Tifton, Georgia. This is a unique and valuable learning opportunity that has been offered to students from the V.I. since 2000 through the sponsorship of the V.I. RC&D Council and the V.I. Urban Forestry Council.
V.I. RC&D is looking for students who are mature and interested in the natural sciences and/or agriculture. If selected to participate, the student will be exposed to various natural resources and will get a taste of college life while spending an entire week on the ABAC campus.
For additional information, contact the V.I. RC&D Office at 692-9632, ext. 5, or drop by the USDA Service Center in Gallows Bay in the Merrill Lynch Building to obtain an application.
