James Darroux Dies at 59

March 3, 2009 – James Darroux, better known as "Jay," of Lowry Hill, Christiansted, died at Mercy Medical Center on Feb. 25. He was 59 years old.
He is survived by his spouse, Elixer "Lyn" Darroux; daughters: Sharon Darroux-Evans and Shirley Darroux; sons: Gairy LeBlanc, James Jr., Daniel and Akira Darroux; and grandchildren: Austin James and Joshua Darroux. He is also survived by sister, Lucina Darroux; brothers: Ralph, Norman and Herbert Darroux; daughters-in-law: Erica and Katrina Darroux; son-in-law, Franklin B. Evans; other relatives: Helen Darroux, Theresa Loyd, Hazel Loyd and Peter Francis; special friends: Jackie Thomas-Eastman, the Bonit family, Titre family, the Joseph family and Joyce Stapleton; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing at 10 a.m. and a funeral service at 11 a.m., on Friday, March 6, at the Peter's Rest Seventh-day Adventist Church. Interment will follow at Kingshill Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the James Memorial Funeral Home Inc.
