Jan. 21, 2009 – Leona Willtelmena Edney Macedon, also known as "Auntie Leona," of Calquohoun Passed died on Jan. 14. She was 68 years old.
She is survived by her spouse, Camille Macedon; daughters: Marjorie M. Belardo and Monique Macedon; stepdaughters: Doreen and Michelle Macedon; stepsons: Walton, René, and Randall and Aubrey Macedon; grandchildren: Demaris and Daria Belardo; step grandchildren: Thema, Isulah and Selah Macedon; and step great-grandchildren: Malakai Christian and Daniel Salter. She is also survived by sisters: Chystalia Edney-Parris, Magdalene Edney and Loretta Sophia Edney-Henry; brothers: Stanley, George and Arthur Edney; adopted children: Sheniqua Donaldson, Rachel and Slyvester Gilbert, and Faye Leung-Gardener; special friends: Shirley Jacobs, Carmen Belardo, Shadroch Gill, James Lewis, Gilberto Belardo Jr. Al Baptiste, Alvaro Delugo III and Matilda Nestor; as well as many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing held at 9 a.m. and a funeral service at 10 a.m., on Saturday, Jan. 24, at the Friedensfeld Church. Interment will follow at Kingshill Cemetery.
