The 28th Legislature Will Be Sworn-in on Monday

Jan. 10, 2009 – The members of the 28th Legislature of the United States Virgin Islands are inviting all to witness a part of history as it is officially sworn-in to office at 10 a.m., Monday, Jan. 12, at the Emancipation Garden, St. Thomas.
The members to be sworn-in are: Craig W. Barshinger, Adlah "Foncie" Donastorg Jr., Carlton "Ital" Dowe, Louis Patrick Hill, Neville A. James, Wayne A. G. James, Shawn-Michael Malone, Terrance "Positive" Nelson, Nellie Rivera-O'Reilly, Usie R. Richards, Sammuel Sanes, Patrick Simeon Sprauve, Michael Thurland, Celestino A. White Sr. and Alvin L. Williams Jr.
Following the ceremonies, the members will move across the street into the Earle B. Ottley Legislative Hall in the Capitol Building for their first session and the official organization of the 28th Legislature.
Both the ceremonies and the organization of the 28th Legislature will be carried live on the Legislature's government access stations, which are Innovative Cable TV Channel 17, on St. Thomas-St. John, and on Innovative Cable TV Channel 5, on St. Croix. Subscribers to Choice Communications Wireless TV service can turn to channel 1 and view the events as well. Also, V.I. Public Television WTJX will provide live coverage. Live coverage via radio will be provided by WIUJ FM 102.9, WRRA AM 1620, WSTA AM 1340 and WVWI AM 1000.
