Jan. 6, 2009 – Cyril Lawrence Nielsen Sr., also known as "Cirillo" or "Rillo," died on Dec. 26, at his residence in Jacksonville, Florida. He was 65 years old.
He is survived by his daughters: Christine, Carolyn, Theresa, Cherrice and Natacha; sons: Cyril Jr., Cai and Chaleed; grandchildren: Khadeem, Kymani, Kymaria, Ra'sheen, Ra'heem, Ra'Kheem, Ra'Keel, Ra'meel, Re'Che, Calik, Calim, Nyalee, and Armani; and adopted grandchildren: Shadejah and Onoah. He is also survived by sister, Patricia Christian; brothers: Meredith, Harvey and Wayne Nielsen; aunts: Gertrude Davenport and Evangeline Farrelly; special friends: Cedric Armstrong, Isidore Griles, Maria Walters, Johnny Lugo, Bernice Benjamin, Shania Lynch, Carmen Nielsen, Miriam Harris and Yvonne Mathews; special cousin, Sarah McBean Bastian; godchildren: Marsha Gordon, A'Quan and Akell Armstrong; as well as many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing held at 10 a.m. and a funeral service at 11 a.m., on Thursday, Jan. 8, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Frederiksted. Interment will follow at Frederiksted Cemetery.
