Why Are We Allowing This to Happen?

Dear Source:
forget the middle men forget the fact is we are paying the highest gas prices in the USA, if the average price of regular gas stateside is $2.50 you must remember that includes about $.75 in federal tax per gallon, but we only pay .07 a gallon tax, where is the $.68 cents? Our average price for regular is $3.39. If you take away the tax the us average is $1.75 and the VI $3.32 almost double, its time to ask our selves not where the moneys going but why are we allowing it, who is looking out for us and who is looking at what wapa is being charged.
this leads us to ask about all the prices on necessities here, before the storm 1 lb of butter was $4.59 after the storm $5.29 to me that's gouging especially when so many people are out of work for so long, when dose someone step up and be the advocate we need? leadership isn't seeing if the vi government can pay everyone's leac it in making sure that that leac is fair we have been assaulted by the unfair price of oil for too long, it time someone in power just said no.
