PSC Conducts Hearings on Rate Investigations

Oct. 31, 2008 – The Virgin Islands Public Services Commission will conduct hearings on the rate investigations of the V.I. Telephone Corporation (Vitelco) and the St. Thomas-St. John Ferry Companies. The PSC is the government agency mandated to ensure that the rates of public utilities are fair, just, reasonable and non-discriminatory, according to a press release from the Government of the U.S.V.I.
The hearings have been expanded in both time and location and will take place on all three islands at the times and locations listed below. Time will be allotted for the public to offer comments during the hearings at the discretion of the hearing examiner.
Comments may also be submitted in advance of the hearings to Michael S. Moore, PSC legal assistant, at or via fax at 774-4971 on St. Thomas or 778-0302 on St. Croix. All comments submitted in writing will be provided to the parties and hearing examiner in these matters.
